Review: 2010 Kia Forte continues string of hits from South Korea
It's not that there was much wrong with the Forte's predecessor. In fact, the last time we drove a Kia Spectra, we walked away wondering if anything more might be overkill. The Spectra was good but tended to blend in with a crowd, and Kia's not into playing the role of wallflower anymore. In contrast, the Forte boldly saunters into the middle of the dance floor, comfortable in the hot glow of the pin spot, with the confidence of Tony Manero after a trip to the tailor. Clearly, the Kia Forte looks remarkably better than the econobox it ... Read more →
Review: Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 is a bike with multiple personalities Jeremy Korzeniewski
We were more than a little excited to throw a leg over the new Aprilia Dorsoduro right after unloading it from the back of our trailer. After all, the last time we rode a supermoto bike from the ...
Review: 2010 Buick LaCrosse CXL aims upmarket and almost hits target Alex Nunez
With great fanfare, General Motors has introduced the 2010 Buick LaCrosse, a vehicle with which the automaker hopes to jump-start a sweeping brand transformation for the tired Tri-Shield. For ...
Review: 1970 Hotchkis E-Max Dodge Challenger causes smiles lasting longer than four hours Jonny Lieberman
Before we begin, we have to state up front that we've rarely – if ever – had more fun with a car than we had with the Hotchkis E-Max Challenger. And the loud yellow Dodge was in our ...
Review: Ducati Sport 1000 lives up to its heritage Jeremy Korzeniewski
Ducati. It's a name full of racing heritage and tradition, but it hasn't always been that way. The company's roots are much more humble, first by selling radio equipment before moving into the ...

Review: 1967 Classic Recreations Eleanor Mustang is the real movie deal 19 days ago on Autoblog
H. B. Halicki was a used car salesman who wanted to make a movie. With a little money, one big idea, and a 1971 Mustang Mach 1, he made Gone in 60 Seconds. And in that particular way that movies, especially '70s movies, can be, it wasn't all that good, but it was awesome. Fast forward to Michael ...
Quick Spin: 2010 Nissan Altima a well-mannered sedan without surprises 24 days ago on Autoblog
As the company's number-one global volume vehicle, the Altima is instrumental in keeping the lights on at Nissan HQ. Now in its fourth-generation (last redesigned for the 2007 model year), the made-in-the-USA model is sold in both sedan and coupe variants with a choice of two gasoline engines or ...
Review: 2010 Chevrolet Equinox sets the tone for New GM 24 days ago on Autoblog
It's fitting that General Motors has a vehicle named after an astronomical phenomenon that marks the seasons. The first Equinox came from the "old" GM during the autumn of its long slide. Since then, the General has emerged from a government-funded chrysalis, and the Equinox has followed suit ...
Review: 2010 Ford Flex EcoBoost turns it up to 11 26 days ago on Autoblog
We were headed on a road trip, because that's what you do when the summer draws to a close and something as gigantic as the Ford Flex rolls into your driveway. Destination: Brooklyn. Five miles into the journey, the Sony audio system belts out the Beastie Boys' "No Sleep Till Brooklyn," and the ...
Review: 2009 Lexus LX570 is three tons of luxury with a dollop of off-road mastery 1 month ago on Autoblog
While the Lexus LX570 is the flagship SUV in the automaker's lineup, its glory is often overshadowed by the best-selling RX. With proven Land Cruiser bloodlines, and the Tundra's V8 muscle under its hood, the seven-passenger LX competes in the rarefied full-size luxury SUV segment occupied by ...
Road Trip Review: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe with Navigation [w/VIDEO] 1 month ago on Autoblog
It's been less than a year since the Hyundai Genesis Coupe hit the streets, but the Korean automaker isn't sitting on its hands. Just as it's done in the past, Hyundai is launching a steady stream of refreshed and redesigned models, and even new models – like the Genesis – are ...
Review: 2009 Mazda MX-5 Miata is still the drive of our childhood dreams 1 month ago on Autoblog
Remember back when you were a diapered enthusiast-to-be and you weren't allowed to venture beyond the end of your family's tree lawn? The sum total of your 'driving' experience was probably a Little Tikes Cozy Coupe. If you were like us, your toddler self was all big dreams, bustling feet and ...
Review: 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS demands to be loved 1 month ago on Autoblog
The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro has taken so long to get to here we wouldn't be surprised if Caravaggio did the original sketches. We wanted the car when we first saw it back in 6 B.C. We drove prototypes sometime around the Norman Conquest. And now it's finally on the streets. It seems like a mighty ...
Review: Moto Guzzi V7 Classic is an Italian beauty you can live with 1 month ago on Autoblog
Every once in a while, you can tell exactly how a motorcycle will ride based solely on the initial walkaround. When the seminal Yamaha VMax hit the scene way back in 1985, one look at its muscular stance, massive V-four and spindly suspenders told you everything you needed to know about its ...
Review: 2010 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Convertible is just right 1 month ago on Autoblog
While Ford has been introducing a countless string of Mustangs that appeal to nearly every enthusiast on the planet, Chevrolet has had to make due with only three versions of the Corvette (five if you count both coupes and convertibles). Well, for 2010, Chevrolet is adding a new model to the mix, ...
Review: 2010 Ford Taurus SEL stays big, goes upscale 1 month ago on Autoblog
In 1985, when few models really stood out from the midsize pack, Ford created one of the most influential vehicles of the late 20th century: the Taurus. Radically styled and intelligently packaged, the Taurus won the hearts and minds of millions of car buyers, and for over a decade, it was a ...
Review: 2010 Audi S4 brings back the boost, gives "S" a reason for being 1 month ago on Autoblog
We'll just come right out and say it: Audi lost the plot with the last generation S4. Unlike the twin-turbocharged V6-equipped B5, its B6 and B7 brethren did little to stoke the flames in our collective hearts. The "S" simply stood for, "I paid more for a bigger engine and some additional trim." ...
Review: 2009 Audi Q5 3.2 Quattro is crossover magic - at a cost 1 month ago on Autoblog
Quality costs. Ask a recording engineer. For the same money you'll burn on a pile of inexpensive, non-serviceable gear whose greatest virtue is that "it works," you could alternatively purchase one channel's worth of serious equipment. The trade-off is that the real kit sounds great all the time, ...
Review: 2009 Lotus Exige S 260 offers even more power and lightness 1 month ago on Autoblog
Over its 61-year history, Lotus Cars has spent a considerable amount of time clawing its way back from the brink of insolvency. The company's most recent bout with financial disrepair came in the early Nineties after the front-wheel-drive Elan proved a commercial failure (surprise!) and the ...
Review: A different take on Challenger vs. Camaro 1 month ago on Autoblog
The original ponycar wars have boomeranged back after forty years. Ford started it all with a retro-tasty Mustang, and Dodge and Chevrolet have rolled out new versions of the Challenger and Camaro to get in on the frenzy. Looking at the window sticker of any of these cars may seriously depress ...
Review: 2010 Ford Taurus SHO gets measured against the original 1 month ago on Autoblog
There's a small group of enthusiasts who worship a car you just wouldn't expect: the original Ford Taurus SHO. And I'm one of them. After years of searching for an example in good shape, I bought my very first vintage SHO, a 1991 Ford Taurus SHO Plus model (we'll explain what the "Plus" means ...
Review: 2010 Acura TSX V6 sacrifices twisties for long-haul cruising 1 month ago on Autoblog
The 2010 Acura TSX V6 is something of a consolation prize. At the 2008 Detroit Auto Show, Acura showed off a new 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel and said it would launch in the U.S. this year. A few months later in New York, Honda's luxury arm showed off the all-new second generation TSX sedan, ...
Review: 2010 Cadillac CTS Sportwagon eats up cargo, swallows open road 2 months ago on Autoblog
In Europe, the humble station wagon holds a big-time slice of the family driver demographic, partly because ridiculous petrol prices make big SUVs and crossovers far too uneconomical. Americans, on the other hand, have a fundamental problem with the station wagon. We're not sure if the wagon is ...
Review: 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser is a tarnished Golden Oldie 2 months ago on Autoblog
It wasn't so many years ago that Chrysler's design department was considered among the best in the industry. Attractive, innovative shapes came one after another, then they took a sharp detour into the crash test building and the rest is Sebring/Compass/Caliber history. In the late Nineties when ...
Review: 2009 Honda S2000 is a champ to the end 2 months ago on Autoblog
It's been ten years since Honda released the S2000 to celebrate its golden anniversary, but since Autoblog's inception, we have somehow never managed to publish a proper review of the high-revving roadster. With the final S2000 having rolled off the line on August 7, we figured it was time to ...
Review: 2009 Volkswagen CC Sport is a mid-size segment buster 2 months ago on Autoblog
We still cringe upon hearing marketing types utter the phrase "four-door coupe." It's inherently a lie, a scam. Who are they trying to fool? It's not a four-door coupe, it's a sedan with a sloping roof – generally one that's missing a middle rear-seat. And there's nothing wrong with ...
Mahindra's 30-mpg diesel-powered Pik-Up gets driven 2 months ago on Autoblog
Mike Levine over at PickupTrucks.com got a chance to drive the Mahindra Pik-Up regular cab with a 7-foot bed and lived to say rather good things about it. He drove the 2.5-liter diesel spec that is a generation behind what we'll get here, so actual driving impressions are moot. The real story ...
Review: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T Track makes more out of less 2 months ago on Autoblog
The 2.0T is the low man on Hyundai's Genesis Coupe totem pole, disappointing the power addled and whooping it up too much for pinkie-waving tea drinkers. However, raw power isn't what this turbo model is all about, and once that's made clear, the coupe becomes a delightful flavor in Hyundai's ...
Review: 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid - What a difference 60 degrees makes 2 months ago on Autoblog
Recently, we had our third opportunity to drive the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid. Actually, the last go around was with a Mercury Milan Hybrid, but aside from a different nose and fanny, it is the same car. Even though we did a full review of the Milan, we asked Ford for another go around because of ...
Review: The 2009 Mercedes-Benz G550 makes us feel glücklich 3 months ago on Autoblog
The Mercedes G550 is an unlikely niche vehicle. As with perhaps every other military-derived civilian 4x4, it's a box on wheels, all straight lines and fender flares. Yet unlike most other military-derived civilian off-roaders, it comes standard with solid axles front and rear, three ...
Review: 2010 Volvo XC60 delivers on looks and lux - handling, too. Nav? Not so much. 3 months ago on Autoblog
Volvo has seen better days. Just a few short years ago, the Swedish automaker was the lone bright spot in Ford's European luxury operation, boasting impressive sales and actual profits. Fast-forward to 2009, and the situation couldn't be more different. Sales are downright depressing, revenues ...
Review: 2010 Mazda3 a tale of two Mazdas 3 months ago on Autoblog
We can't talk about the new Mazda3 without lovingly gushing over the old Mazda3. Introduced in 2003 and produced until this year, the first generation was a segment buster. For about the same coin as its competitors, the Mazda3 gave you more: More sportiness, more refinement, more space and, ...
Review: 2010 Bentley GTC Speed is like Heaven. Only better. 3 months ago on Autoblog
The Bentley Continental GT has been lauded and derided for being too much: too powerful, too fast, too easy, too big, too ubiquitous, and yes, too good. The convertible version, the Continental GTC, dismissed its roof but retained the excess. Now, Bentley has worked its "Speed" hocus-pocus in ...
Review: 2010 Nissan GT-R - Does Godzilla Have A Soul? 3 months ago on Autoblog
Being an automotive journalist is like being a male porn star. We're little more than Piloti-shoed buffers between the reader and the objects of their lust, and really, no one cares about us. Still, you only get one chance to make an initial impression, so my first review here on Autoblog had ...
Review: 2009 Audi TTS is our Orange Crush... but only just a crush 3 months ago on Autoblog
The Audi TT is a highly entertaining package -- good looks, great personality, terrific cabin feel, solid handling and a good price. Yet with the TTS here and the TT-RS on the way (well, not for us Americans, but...), the TT becomes something like The Girl Next Door who you just found out has ...
Review: 2009 Nissan Frontier continues to blaze the small truck trail 3 months ago on Autoblog
Small pickups occupy an odd and oft forgotten spot in the over-hyped, Biggie-Sized truck segment, but making a case for their existence remains easy. Not everyone needs a larger vehicle or has the space for a full-size truck, and small pickups offer the utility weekend warriors require without ...
